Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

Adcom GFA-555 or GFA-555II...

The good news is the original is a Nelson Pass design and that they sold what seems like millions of these. This is a very fine sounding amp and since they made and sold so many you can get them relatively cheap.

One word to the wise...there is a coupling cap on the input board that is the only instage coupling cap in the whole design. It doesn't matter much for a subwoofer purpose but if you ever use this amp for other purposes replace the coupling capp and put somthing like a WIMA or better in place of it.

The increased transparency will be obvious.

Ed

PS: This is not strictly speaking a Vintage unit but is getting pretty old and is a fine solution for your uses.
Life is analog...digital is just samples thereof
