RE: McIntosh 275 vs. {2} McIntosh 225's

Brian,
My CG's are not bi-amp capable. They are the ceramic magnet version; date is 74 or 75....I forget... and they are a pain to pull from the wall every time I want to check the back for the date...probably should write it down somewhere! The only amp I have ever used with them is the 275 but I have heard that they do sound excellant with certain SS amps. I'm just looking to try something different...didnt know if the 225's would be better/worse/same/different but I have been meaning to try them out for several years now. I have also thought about selling all the tube equipment and buying a pair of used 501's and going the SS route, but they may be overkill for either of my speaker systems!
