RE: Stick with the 88's

The GL do have more power but I never cared for them sonically,at least the ones from 1968 and later..The TS I was speaking of are the black plates.I will admit that the bass is good on the old GLs.I have several NOS/NIB GLs still and I probably should sell them because as the new tubes keep getting better,the older ones will start losing value,at least broad market type..I see this happening with the RCA 6L6gc black plates.
