Hi all,
My brothers MCS 3245 finally bit the dust the other day. He bought it new back in 1977 so it has some sentimental value to him. Anyway, I took a look at it and it seems that some caps on the power supply board failed. Everything else inside looked ok. I have enough soldering experience to replace bad parts, but I have a lot to learn about electronics. A few other components also look a little suspect. Should I replace the diodes along with the caps ? The resistors also ? What are the components in the pic with three legs and a lable designation qxxx ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
PJN
