much the same story for me. a thrift store in a nearby town gets on occasion various audio equipment. stuck behind a couple of pairs of speakers i was not interested in were a pair of nearly grey looking speakers that i recognized immediately by the grillecloth. twenty bucks for the pair with a one week guarantee that they would work. got em' home cleaned them up and they look near perfect. the grey coloring was nothing more than a lot of dust. they run with a fisher 500c and sound very nice on fm, especially acoustic jazz.
