Re: bold eagle/kudos & a question - update

this is my day for foolin' around. i had been running the cd player through the 'aux' input. with the eclipse amp in that configuration the bass sounded good and tight. as an experiment i switched over to a 'tape' input. the eclipse bass became much more present to becoming too boomy. out goes the eclipse and in comes the hafler 500. what i discovered quickly is that the eclipse amp has a quicker power rise than the hafler. i then adjusted the output of each tube amp that run the mids and highs to better match the bass output and now i am getting somewhere. in years past i ran both the eclipse and hafler with these same bozaks in stock form. always preferred the high end of the ess amp and the low end of the hafler better. what a shock it was initially when the hafler flopped. think we got things fixed!!
