Sometimes I'd like to try some vintage gear on ebay
and not get burned -get it in good shape - and sell it a few months
later for close to what I paid for it...(If I don't like it
or because it is a poor match for my other gear...)

I must be dreaming !
Most of the better gear has gotten too
high to allow for that now ..have to
find other sources-flea market-curbside trash and
so forth

A lot of the stuff is not as advertised - poor cosmetics and so on
or contols are wore out..If we love something - or always wanted
a ( **** ) then we have to remember that a lot of it is 30 years
old- or older and it will need service
