I'm really a newbie to running vintage gear. I haven't had a decent audio system for probably 25 years. And then I got an itch after looking at a bunch of unused lps in my basement. Started doing a bit of research. Really lucked out and fell into a pair of Advents at the local Salvation Army and I'm on my way. So I don't really have a bunch of gear. Just like old gear and good music. Not sure what you mean by "cans". But, I put the effort into tweaking and refurbishing the Advents based on the many positive posts about them on this site and others. I am extremely pleased with them. If I chased others speakers probably would be on the look out for a good pair of KLHs or JBL L100s. But, I still need a second pair of Advents to stack or tweak or stack n tweak. (grin)
Garage sale season is open in the midwest so I'm hopeful it will be a good summer.
Regards,
HB
