cosmestics the base and one tweeter. i put a new 1/4'' oak skin on them, repaired the stock 3'' base made sure i had the adjustable feet. new tweeter in the rear. painted and stained.the look great and sound better. i'm simply amazed at theese speaker's. i was contemplating removing the bases and getting heavy stands, but as they say. if it aint broke dont fix it.
