Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

A step up (waxing a little philosophy)

Just a note reflecting on the last couple of years. When I joined the asylum I was tiptoeing around the concept of a better music listening experience. My system was a sansui 881 receiver, a pair of wharfedadale w60 2 way speakers and a garrard lab 80. It all worked, and was pleasurable, but the inmates graciously and carefully prompted me onward. Tonight I am listening to a Marantz 2325 through Pioneer hpm 100's, a decent manual pioneer table, and a nice sony cd changer. The difference is so palpable and so much more pleasurable, I have to listen to everything again!
thanks
