of all the Marantz receivers from what I've read, I've never actually heard one, it seems to get the least love. I've heard the 2265B and it was awesome. I'm currently listening to a 2330B. It needs a good cleaning and a go through by a good tech to check the specs. Still I'm impressed by the sound. At some point I'm going to be looking for something in the 50 to 75 wpc range. I'll likely look for a 2252B or a 2265B.I switched up to the 2330B from a Technics SA200, a mighty big leap to say the least. One thing I can say about the Technics was that the sound was very pure. The Marantz is colored somewhat producing that sought after "warmth". I'm finding the Marantz very easy to listen to and with lp playback every spot of the volume dial is in the sweet spot. A very good phono section.
