Advice on EPI A120 speakers

68.109.205.212

Hey. I recently was given a set of EPI A120 speakers. The woofer surrounds on each are deteriorated beyond repair and it appears that the cone is "seized," as in, it will not move at all. The tweeters work great and cabinets are a little dinged up but fine. One speaker has no grill.

I was just wondering if they have any value, if I were to sell them. I can get the woofers repaired at Human (who refurbishes Epicure products) for about $60 each. I could grab new (decent) woofers with the same frequency response for $15 each.

Will I ever make any money trying to sell them, fixed or not, to justify the cost of repairing them? Or are they just garbage since the woofers are shot? I know the speakers probably sound great, as I have had EPI 100s and 150s.

Also, if they are sellable, where would you recommend I sell them? I have been using eBay and CraigsList quite a lot lately but it doesn't seem like they are the best for this kind of stuff. I guess I'm looking for a vintage audio marketplace.

Just looking for some advice.
