exquisite to not very good in a two month period. Sound was very good with great bass and smooth midshighs. Now is shrilly with poor bass. I will check the tubes out soon but tried to bias today. A1 and A2 biased at 1 volt and 0 volts perfectly. I could not get B1 to move the meter whatsoever and turning R3 to max clockwise caused the speaker to crackle. What might this indicate? is the next step to check ALL tubes?

I might add the amp was completly modded by a very experirenced builder and sounded simply wonderful when I first hooked it up. It is a great amp but mine is sick right now.

Sorry for the typing - recperating from a cataract removal.

Thanks inmates. Seems like a lot of Pilot posts these days. (thats a good thiong)
