How about thumpy, one note bass because the stuffing is there partly to keep the bass Q down. The bass will be stronger at some frequencies, but not as smooth, and it won't extend as low. You'd also notice a less smooth midrange because of internal reflections.It might sound more lively, but it won't be as accurate.
