I have my dad's copy of Stereo Hi-Fi Handbook by Joseph Marshall (150 pages), copyright 1959, published by Fawcett Publications, New York, N.Y. A general interest audio magazine introducing stereo/hi-fidelity and describes all the components (speakers, amps, pick-ups, etc.) needed to make a good-sounding stereo for a growing, post-war middle-class, plus industry and retail advertisements. There are brand-names, I have never heard of before (Arkay, Audiogersh, Paco, Grommes, Bell-Carillon, ESL, etc.)
