Tube integrated suggestions

I'd like to try tubes with a pair of PSB B25s. Given a budget of $700, would I be better served with the current crop of 35 watters (Onix, Jolida)and a cheap phono stage or a restored Fisher or Harman Kardon or Scott for $400-$500. Small room, listening to more and more jazz with a HO MC cart. I miss the tube magic...your opinion?
