Update: impression from my 1st night with the amp (and another)...

I just wanted to offer this impression I just wrote on this amp )and another) in another thread of mine covering another vintage amp I bought; (wanted to add this before the thread gets archives) Link at the bottom.

I just cannot believe this amp is from the late 1940s! ...and from a theater. I was hoping for the best, and sure enough. It's very 'HiFi'.

Different question. Why would only one of the amps exhibit the 'Edison effect' (blue haze enveloping the inside of the tube) on both 807 tubes, but not on the other amp's 807 tubes? Is that a function of the tube? Or bias? (implying something's off on one or the other). Thanx much.
