Don't unsolder that connector, yet. You will only need the proper wall wart. There is probably an inscription on the molded plastic rear of the table, with the voltage/current spec, as well as which connection is + and which is - .
Like Detailman replied, a 6,9, or 12V wall wart, tried, should not hurt anything. There are switchable wall warts available, also, with various voltages and polarities and different size connectors.
The current draw of this table should be very low, a few hundred mA at most. So, if you have some 6 or 7.5 or 9 Volt wall warts to try, give it a shot. If the tt runs slow, then step up to a 12 Volter, but a low current transformer.
A higher current transformer, with little regulation, will actually put out higher volts, but, as Detailman said, it should not hurt the tt. Good Luck...
