First of all, what do you feel is "weak" about your system? In what areas are you seeking to improve?

Using three different brands among six channels might contribute to your "weak link" due to all the difference tonal differences. If it's dynamics and impact you're seeking, the Pioneer receiver might not be able to give you much in those departments. Maybe you're not getting the kind of surround effects you were hoping for perhaps? Are those JBL's dipoles? If not, perhaps they need to be repositioned so that they're not firing directly at the listener/viewer. Or vice versa.

What are you using for interconnects and speaker cables as well as your CD/DVD player? Any tweaks such as maple platforms, aftermarket isolation/decoupling devices?

Anyway, let me know what's wrong to your ears and let's go from there.
