Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

Only thing wrong is what you turn on 1st.

Turn the pre ON 1st, THEN the power amp. Reverse the procedure when powering off. With the power amp on 1st, it of course ampliflies the pre's turn-on pop or click which the speakers naturally react to. Turning the Volume down before powering off (as with Tuner) will also mute that pop. When a power switch is thrown, an arc of 120vac electricity jumps between switch contacts & it is this arc that produces the signal you see & hear.
