The Jubal came first, later iterations were labeled L65. That is why the driver layout differs in your cabinets. It's also a way to identify which version you have.
Among JBL fanatics the L65 is considered more desirable and the 122a woofer preferred. Do a search at the Lansing Heritage forum and you'll find lots of info.
