Stacy Belson was no Janis Joplin anything. Considering who succeeded first, who recorded with whom, and where they hung out, it was probably more the other way around.

If you want to get a startle for your ears, go listen to some live vocal ensemble or choral singing. Nothing like that comes out of speakers!
