yep ..thats the thing!!!
keep in touch with the "real thing"....and something i allways keep in mind when working in the studio.
WIth all the great digital sampler keyboards out there,. you still can't replace the sound of a 9' stienway.
One of my favorites while working at a friends studio , was comming in on a quiet time and just isolating myself in the studio and playing the 9'..
ITs a sound like no -other,. its all that wood i guess.
9' or baltic spruce.
Digital samplers can reproduce the note and the basic sound,.but not the warmth or the "tone" colour or body of the note.
On one of our ensemble recordings were doing now, our bass player is using one of those big stand up bass.
what a sound... and real depth..

I still love acoustic stuff,.and still very applicable to today
P.S thats why i bought my 83 klipsch Cornwalls, because a concert grand still sounds like a concert grand.
