Have you tried cleaning the controls with Deoxit, especially the slide switches?I assume you have the channel selector rotary switch set to stereo (12:00). Do you get the signals to switch channels if you set the switch to Reverse?
Have you checked the various voltages at the pins of the tubes to see if any are amiss? Since you have one working channel you have a "standard" to compare channel A to....
