What is the logic between thin wall and thick or heavier cabinets.
I recently got two different pair with thin walls and they sound
pretty good. One pair is something like a folded horn. the interior
dividers are very thin. They are Lowther Ideal Baffel cabinets loaded
with older 8" Altec speakers. The other pair is loaded with a
full range oval speaker about 5X7". They are by coral. The Lowther
boxes are braced inside with 1|4 dowels. Both pair have nice
varnished boxes. Not sure about the correct description,but they
sound live. Instrumentials, especially guitar and piano sound very
good. Would this be due to the lighter wood? I am driving both
pair with a low power tube amp.
