Thanks for the reply. I think I am going to try to get this one NAD reciever on ebay. I am not sure I want a sound that is "too" vintage. I have owned vintage seperates before, pioneer, sansui, ect... and vintage speakers. The warm sound is great, but considering my source material, that may not be what I am wanting.

I envision a late 80's NAD to be the right combination... but I will check out some of the models you mentioned in case they have analog tuners. I would love an analog tuner since the stations I listen to (several public and university) are sometimes hard to tune on some digital tuners. They are cast without compression and sometimes use vinyl source material so they are worth getting a decent tuner.
