While the Jensen Sonodome phenolic dome tweeter will not produce 'air' like more recent domes, it can still do quite well. Most likely the crossover caps have deteriorated - these should be replaced with same or very close value modern caps. To add air, try metal film caps or film and foil caps instead of bipolar electrolytics. You should also check the wiring and all connections for corrosion. Any white, yellow or green crusting or discoloration on connections should be cleaned or, if on a wire, cut off and reconnected. Any slip-fit connections should be cleaned and soldered. You will be surprised at how much these simple changes will improve the sound!Good luck,
