Re: AR XA Arm

I have an AR XA with a Shure V15VxMR and am delighted with the performance. A couple of things, though.

No one stocks headshells, so be careful tightening the headshell nut or one of the little ears will break off and you will be out of business.

If you arm has the viscous damping feature mentioned below, you can either remove the pin or clean out the vertical pivot and re-lubricate it lightly. I am getting excellent results with a very light coating of Bag Balm on the cylinder. A washer between the post and the pivot block (on this model) will prevent the cylinder from binding and help you set VTA or SRA.
