Re: what KT88's for my McIntosh MC60s?

If your mc60s are up to snuff and I mean newer filter caps and I have found vitaman Q pios to perform the best in the mc60s and k40s in the phase inverter,I like the newer TS 6550s and the penta kt88sc..The new genelex are also real butt kickers in those amps.
My favorite in the amps are the vintage TS 6550 black plates but you will find those amps perform well with most kt88s and you really have to experiment.
Now if your a bass person,the JJ kt88s are untouchable and they produce lots of headroom but Im not crazy about the midrange with them in some cases.
