I picked up a 7T a couple decades ago at a yard sale, along with an FM3 and ST70 and a Dual changer. Compared to my Hafler DH101 it sounded grittier, if I had to describe the sound. While it is nice-looking and well-made, if they didn't have so much value on eBay, I'd consider gutting it and building a good preamp inside the shell.

When I get around to connecting an outboard ADC/DAC to the Audigy ZS, I'll run RightMark on the 7T and see if there's something measurably wrong with it.
