The older and better paper cone woofers just sound good and the newer materials even though in theory should be good, just don't sound that good.
Give me an old Altec 416-B in the right enclosure over any tower of "humming" dynaudio drivers. A bunch of Dynaudios can have impact but not the naturalness in bass sound quality or the nice upper bass extension.
