Simply Speakers refoamed mine for me, and Ken Perkins claims he can see from the pictures I took that they used a slightly too narrow roll, too.They work fine, however.
I don't know that anyone here has data or graphs supporting the idea that the narrower surround does anything strange to the woofer, despite the theory. Simply Speakers claims to carefully test afterwards every speaker they refoam, and nothing is ever shipped back to the customer that does not work perfectly.
