Re: Heard so much about Snell E IIIs that I got a pair but they won't be here

I can't speak for the EIIIs, but I have a pair of the EIVs and I am very happy with them. I've bought them new back in 1996/1997 at a place called Cookin' which is now long gone. I upgraded my JIVs to EIVs.

They are a good speaker and are fairly efficient (91dBm/Watt, I believe). I've used them with many amplifiers over the years, including Bottlehead Paramours, various Adcom gear, various NAD gear, an old-school Nikko receiver, and most recently McIntosh. They sound good (I'm not one to spew ridiculous audiophile terms about how something sounds) no matter what I use, and also look very good. The cabinets are very nice and well built, but these suckers are big and heavy.

I've never seriously wanted/needed another speaker - these have worked great for the past 10 years.
