When we pay a tech to do what we ask and repair, and the item comes back worse, that tech should make good. I wouldn't pay a dime if the unit has not been repaired. You used the wrong tech, for sure.
There are better business bureaus in every state, if the techie works out of a store. This is why the internet is like the wild west, no one watches the watchers. Don't give up on tubes, find a more honest techie...
