But there's another harness connecting the pre/tuner and amp.<<The extra harness is probably a power umbilical. My guess is that the power amp has the PSU for everything. Wait for the schematics Tuubvac is sending and see for sure. It may be very easy to use the power amp with non-Fisher upstream stuff; just connect up the RCA jacks.
