Re: Picked up some new toys today

I do have the schematic (on the bottom plate of mine). I also found it online somewhere (didn't bookmark the link).

Yes, on mine one of the two large caps off the diodes was shot. I replaced both with new parts and also replaced the old top-hat style diodes with new UF4007 parts. Last but not least I replace the coupling caps in the output stage with 716P orange drops. At some point I'm going to go through it and replace all of the remaining coupling caps.

This thing is really easy to work on, which is nice. It is also very well built and sounds great.

One thing I haven't figured out is what the second position on the bass knob is for. The bass knob (on both channels) pulls out to second position. I has not audible effect, so I'm not sure what it is/does. Anyone know?
