Do it right! Do follow the whole process.

;-)!

if the shelf is not pretty damn steady there CAN be problems, as anumber1 posted. BUTttt, if yr 11S' suspension is out of wack, the problems under drive can still be as serious - through to audible, even on a 'good' wall-shelf installation!

? ohh yes!!!! I do all this for folks, and they come back, 'kay?

these sprungies don't hold their set-up as long as hungies like Oracles, and Michells, SME's, etc, will do. Even they like to be set up 'jus' right' to be lastingly stable.

And ......

There are things you can do to lengthen the life of each set-up session on yr Ariston and 'my' article covers those. It has been added to, and there's a sep page with graphics and CGvid.

The RD11S on clean AC is in early Valhalla'd LP12 class IMO,

NB clean AC just requires a double sized* isolation trannie with some spike-suppression up-stream (*twice the VA rating of the motor). Experiment with an adjustable 25-40 watt AC driven bulb, to load it down a bit, and

IF that improves things when pointed away from the cart's arc over a record, THEN

you can use it to keep yr cart at about 25C and it will sound more better, again!

'kay?
