Hi,
I would appreciate it if you could please give me some guidance on a
500C problem.
I am about to replace the selenium rectifier as I start on my 500C.
I accumulated and printed your posts relating to the servicing of this receiver so I can get it right.
I am having trouble understanding the following quote from the cited post:

" the bias supply dropping resistor should be increased (if a 5.6k, then to 2.7k, if an 8.2, then to 5.6k) to raise the supply voltage up to -22v; "

Are the resistor values flipped in the quote or should the word "increased" be instead "decreased"? Does this instruction refer to two possible values found for resistor R132 or to R132 and R142?
AND is another resistor required immediately at the rectifier negative output to compensate for the greater efficiency of the rectifier? If so,
is there a ball park value to start with?

Thank you sincerely for your help, Vince
