IF you listen to FM go for the 2235. The 2245 WILL need a rotory directional antenna. If you listen to CD's only the 45 maybe better. The 35 would have a typical Marantz 22xx generic sound. Not that, that is a bad thing, but again generic 22xx type sound. Not that the 45 would be MUCH differnt. But it may sound a little more like the B series type with less distortion. I would go for the 45 on looks and CD and the 35 for general FM use.charles
