I've seen a web page somewhere that was written by one of the designers of speakers for Marantz about the time that these came out. My recollection of it is that they thought that they had done pretty well, but that they never had a speaker that was a hands-down winner over the competition. Maybe you can find that page somewhere. I gotta run to work, no time for me to google for it now.
