I assume that the unit comes with the Electro-Harmonix EL-34's.I've been looking for a while and looked at Jolida, Cayin, etc. then decided to get a Mac 225, but I couldn't find one. Then I saw this one that had already been upgraded with new caps, etc. so I wouldn't have to dink with upgrading it - posted a bid and went away for the day. Came back and it was won.
I just wanted something that sounded good - hopefully very good - that I didn't have to take to the local shop to have upgraded. I'm not concerned about the original chassis (unless it were Mac) - more concerned about performance.
