The ad says you get two steel balls. (ball bearings) One is for the motor spindle (used on lower end of motor shaft) and the other is for the platter spindle. (platter bearing or shaft)
I've bought the thrust plates/seal, cleaning kit and oil from Joel and I have no complaints. I thought the TD124 I used these on had a faster and more crisp presentation to it. I think Joel used to work at Thorens so he should have some insight into the product. The ball at the end of the platetr spindle should be obvious and see the link for reference to the motor ball bearing.
