My guess would be the switch, however with AV equipment there is often some accommadation for one button start up through some other component. You should review the owner's manual to see if you have inadvertently enabled that feature.On the meat-and-potato side of the operation, you could unplug the unit and run a continuity test through the on/off switch. Also, don't just look to see if a fuse is good. Measure it to be sure.
