Two that come to mind that have not mentioned are Denon and Proton. Both are nice.
Denons are very reliable and you can often get a good moving coil input. They can be a little large but the champagne colored receivers with the fake rosewood end caps look very nice.Protons are compact and very good performers. They are very powerful for their size. Tuners and phono sections are very good on them too.
A Scott or Niko receiver could also fit the bill. The Japanese Scott receivers of the 70's are overlooked but nice. Niko's are very well built and usually compact.
