Possibly, and since the outer shield would carry no current it would act as a guard shield. I wouldn't be able to find that without cutting it open. But for line level signals, I can see no difference in my system. The other problem is that they are higher capacitance than my other interconnects and that can make more difference with some setups than having the extra shield.Jerry
