What is wrong with the current tweeters?
Generally the 2nd gen tweeters handle more power as they are ferrofluid cooled, but soundwise they are close to identical. The Advent tweeters are critical to the overall sound as in one unit they generally function as both a nearly separate mid-range and as a tweeter. This is tricky stuff in speaker design even from a 21st century perspective.I would think you could find large Advent tweeters in very good condition on ebay for around $60 the pair plus shipping.
