Yes, I used to listen to WHFS Annapolis during my high school and college days in the from the mid 70's to mid 80's. WHFS used to be such a great radio station. Remember that goofy "wheasel" character? I seem to recall HFS going away from progressive rock, blues, folk and reggae at some point and becoming pseudo "alternative rock". I gave up on them eventually and eventually figured out they were bought out and made over into a Latino pop format of all things. The end of an institution...

I was all about hard, classic and progressive rock in high school. Were you around long enough to remember the old days of WKTK 105 FM in Catonsville? That was a great rock station until they went disco in the late 70's. Me and my compadres were mortified when they went disco.

I listened mainly to WCVT and HFS during college years as my appreciation for music remained with progressive and started gravitated towards blues, folk, reggae etc. I discovered WRNR as HFS started the alternative rock movement and I lost interest in their format. RNR continues to be an excellent station, and is my 2nd "go to" radio station after WTMD.
