Hello there: A few years ago I was experiencing exactly the situation you describe, with similar components. I decided to go to
get a great antenna and I installed it on the roof of the building (6 floors up) The improvement was devastating. My Tuner was a Magnum Dynalab MD100R, which one year ago I sent to the manufacturer to be upgraded with two matching "Triode Tubes" with extraordinary improvements. Good luck. Best, Antonio Machado.
