First, I don't think the 3bx is what you want. The station compresses the whole signal, and your 3bx breaks the signal into three bands to expand it. I think you'd be better off with the cheaper 1bx.I assume you have a cables going to and coming from the 3bx (4 rcas). If not, you'll need to. Second, if I recall there's a tape monitor loop on the 3bx. Make sure that it's not engaged. Carefully check your switchology and I'll bet you're good to go.
