Which tuner to get and getting the most from it. Thank God, for the radio!

I have just had my H. H. Scott serviced. The tuner is used in a system that includes a PS Audio HCA-2 class D amp. My room is a dedicated, basement listening room. At this point I am using the very cheapest antenna which is located in my listening room. I seem to be getting a strong signal but feel that I may be experiencing some interference from the amp.
I have two questions. 1) Am I likely to be getting interference from this amp? 2) I plan on installing an attic antenna (3 floors above me) will this address interference problems if that is in fact my problem? Thanks for your help!
